Meet this little sweetie named Roxie (#479). Roxie is about 10 years old, in excellent health and is just adorable. She enjoys riding in the car and walks perfecting on a leash. Roxie is crate-trained and spends her free time in her crate napping or chewing on her rawhide bones. She likes her crate door left open so she can go in whenever she wants. Roxie gets along well with other dogs, but if she needs some "me" time, she will retreat to her cage. She is a pretty low maintenance type of gal -- doesn't bark a lot and will only jump on furniture if invited. We think that Roxie will make you a wonderful companion! This is due to the high volume of inquiries we receive. We are all volunteers who are very busy rescuing, caring for and transporting the rescued Pugs. We do NOT have a central facility where you can visit our rescued Pugs. Our Pugs live in foster homes, where they are observed, evaluated and cared for until we find their ideal adoptive family. KPR serves the states of Kentucky and Indiana. ( Permit No. P08-001703 ) If you are outside of those states, please feel free to visit Pug Rescue Links for a rescue that serves your area. An Adoption Application must be completed before you can be considered as an adoptive home for any Pug...there are no exceptions. The adoption application helps us assist you in finding the perfect Pug for your family. If there is a particular Pug you are interested in, you may make a note of that on the Adoption Application. All Pugs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on routine vaccinations, Fecal tested, and Heartworm Negative prior to placement. Our Adoption Donation fees, although they do not completely cover these costs, do help. Also, although we do provide the medical treatment and testing listed above before a pug is adopted...please remember, as all our Pugs are rescues, there is NO guarantee of physical condition.
